The Central Area
The Lifelong Learning Network’s Central Area includes the Preston and West Lancashire districts. It is an area of great geographical, economic and social diversity. In economic terms, it contributes £5bn to the economy of Lancashire, employing 193,000 people – employment growth of 17% and GVA growth of 27% between 1990 and 2005, performance in excess of the national and regional averages
Penine
The Pennine Lancashire Area of the Lancashire Lifelong Learning Network covers the boroughs of Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn, Ribble Valley, Burnley and Pendle.
Lancaster & Fylde Area
The Lancaster & Fylde Area within the Lancashire Lifelong Learning Network is host to the three local authorities of Lancaster, Blackpool and Fylde, where the contrast between the social, economic and environmental make up could not be more diverse.
